PROS vs JOELS! $60k pot!
1 in 3 chance of making a bad call...

Dear friends, fans, and gamblers who wish to remain anonymous...
Well I ain’t no genie. Your wish is not granted. If you’re new here, we send out an interesting, funny, painful, or down right hilarious hand each week. This one might slot into every category mentioned.
Hand of the Week!
This week's hand has a lot going for it. We see...
A $20k shove on the river
Pain and anguish on video multiple times
A $500 tip to the dealer!
And lastly a player lets lady luck choose his fate
Now that I have your attention, do you guys remember Paul from last week? Well Paul has a way of getting himself into some crazy situations on the river. Last week he saved himself from losing a huge pot by flipping a coin to avoid a $90k loss. Here’s the hand if you missed it.
Anyways on to this hand:
We're playing $25/$50 with $100 big blind ante. Now I’d be lying if I told you I paid attention to this whole hand. But let me give you a little backstory here.
Leading up to this hand, Paul was getting absolutely pummeled. He was down quite a bit of money. Upwards of $50k. He had just gotten slowrolled by Nik Airball. And now here he is facing a $20k river shove on a Q♥️5♣️6♣️8♠️5♦️ board. Paul is up against Joel. A recreational player in our game who has a knack for putting people into the wood chipper. Think Fargo here.
After a minute or two of pure anguish, Paul flips up his hand. He’s got Q♦️T♣️ for top pair. A pure bluff catcher. That’s the thing about poker though. You do run into a wild bluff from time to time. Especially in our game which has the 7-2 bounty on at all times for $200 a man. An especially embarrassing $400 if you’re the last to fold to it, which Paul would be in this case.
Paul finally comes to a decision. Or rather, he realizes that he can’t decide. I wonder if it has anything to do with Nik Airball grinding on him during his decision making process…Anyways, he said he doesn’t really think that Joel’s bluffing, but he can’t bring himself to fold. He says “I want to fold 2/3 of the time, and call 1/3 of the time.” He says “It’s binding Joel if you want to show your cards.” Joel’s response is HILARIOUS and I caught most of this hand on video. So if you want to see what Joel had, see Paul’s whole tank and anguish, and what happens at the end, check out this 2 minute video.
If you’re like me and 2 minutes means you had enough time to get laid and take a short nap, then you’ll just want to see him rip the bandaid off and find out if he’s right or not. See it clipped down to less than a minute here in this video.
If you liked that, you’ll love our game…And if you love convenience and luxury for barely more than an economy flight, book a flight to Vegas on JSX.com. Their semi-private flights are ridiculously convenient for flights in the southwest. Arrive 15 minutes before your flight at a private terminal and get here ASAP. Use referral code: 5LF8TL for $20 off your first flight.
See you next week for another Hand of the Week!
Cheers,
Art and Justin
