Obsession. Sometimes it's a good thing.

He has the most passion for poker we've ever seen.

Some people stumble into poker.
Brock sprinted headfirst down the rabbit hole and never climbed out.

If you’re new around here, every week we comb through the hendon mob streets looking for legends and up and comers that haven’t shared their story. Ok, actually we’ll take anyone who will talk to us. This week’s story is about obsession.

At 13, he was staying up all night fleecing his buddies for $10 at a time. By 22, he was in a $1,500 WSOP event—one hand away from convincing his mom to let him go pro. (Kings vs. Jack-Nine. You can guess how that went.)

He left his finance job at Bank of America with a 3-page resignation letter and a dream: play cards for a living.
Fast forward a decade, and Brock’s sitting on $12 million in tournament cashes, a poker network to die for, and the same obsession that kept him awake as a teenager.

In this episode, we talk about what it really takes to go from spreadsheets to chip stacks — obsession, a little luck, and the quiet belief that you’re meant for more than a cubicle.

It’s a story about going all in on the thing you love most…and living with the results.

But before we start, wouldn’t it be great to get a bit of obsessed yourself? Why not enjoy this episode while stacking a fellow degen or two over at Phenom Poker
