Important Phenom Guide Update

Step One: Sign Up!

In order to play poker on PhenomPoker you’ll need a PhenomPoker account (duh!). If you like Table 1 we’d love it if you used our sign up link. Step 1.5: A Disclaimer

There are a lot of ways to buy crypto and move crypto from place to place. That’s kind of the beauty of the whole thing. But this is the way that we know how to do it. If you find a better way or know of a better way, that’s great. But this way works, and it’s pretty simple to figure out. Ok, let’s get to it.

We’ll get you in action from either of these 2 starting lines:

Step 2: Make a Crypto Wallet

If you already know how to use Crypto wallets. Skip to Step 4. This step assumes you know NOTHING about crypto but want to play on Phenom.

Alright, still with me old people? Get yourself a crypto wallet. We use MetaMask. Here’s a complete learning guide to installing MetaMask on your computer and what crypto and Web3 is all about: MetaMask Learn: Your Gateway to Blockchain Education

Once you’ve installed your wallet you’ll need to get yourself some USDT on the Ethereum Network. You can grab this in various places depending on what country you live in. If you’re in the USA, it’s probably easiest to use coinbase. If you don’t want to eat fees on Coinbase (or have yourself tracked by the government) have a friend that has some Polygon send it to you.

Note: The end goal here is to have USDT on the POLYGON Network. But this isn’t just as simple as clicking a button.

Step 3: Get USDT on Ethereum Network

You’ll need to deposit onto Coinbase or whatever exchange you’re using. The tricky thing about Coinbase is they offer MATIC (polygon) but it’s not on the Polygon network...it’s on the Ethereum network. So it’s basically useless for our purposes. We need Polygon on the Polygon network. To get there, we have to start with USDT on the Ethereum network and transfer that off of Coinbase and on to the wallet you just created.

I’ve got $97.53 in my Coinbase account right now. I’ll use that to show you how to get it on to Phenom.

First I’ll buy USDT on the Ethereum network.

Click Tether USDT

Buy the USDT. Notice I got vigged for $4.61 in various fees. This is why it’s smart to just get a friend to send you USDT on Ethereum and/or do a larger amount so the fees are negligible.

Finally send your USDT to your MetaMask Wallet.

You’ll need to click this to copy your wallet address from your Metamask wallet. This address is where you’ll send your USDT from Coinbase. It’s also the address you’d send to your friends so they could send you USDT on Ethereum network.

Here’s how that process works:

Click Send crypto

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE ETHEREUM MAINNET NETWORK. YOU ARE RECEIVING ETHEREUM USDT HERE. SO YOU NEED TO SEND TO AN ETHEREUM WALLET. YOU CAN DOUBLE CHECK THIS BY SEEING THE LITTLE ETHEREUM DIAMOND LOGO IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE WALLET

Paste the copied wallet information into the address box and send.

n my case I ran into this error because I didn’t have enough left over in my account to cover the fees. Again, use a friend if you’re doing small amounts. The fees matter less when you’re sending bigger amounts.

$2.69 in fees to send this $90 USDT to my metamask wallet. Annoying.

But it went through.

I can check my MetaMask wallet and see that it’s there. (I had $1.74 in there from before).

It’s important to note that to send USDT from your wallet you’ll need some amount of ETH in the wallet. Metamask allows you to swap from USDT to ETH back and forth (for a fee). So if you find yourself needing to send USDT but you don’t have any ETH, you’ll be able to do that within the wallet.

Step 4: Send USDT (or any crypto) to Phenom

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 Phenom poker apparently has heard everyone’s frustration with getting different types of crypto over to Polygon…so they have redesigned their platform to accept anything you can throw at it.

They now accept all of these cryptos natively in the client:

  • Polygon - USDT (directly to Player Wallet), USDC, POL, DAI, WETH

  • Ethereum - USDT, USDC, DAI, ETH, BNB, WETH, WBTC, UNI

  • BSC (Binance Smart Chain) - BNB, USDC, WBNB

  • Solana - SOL, JUP

  • Arbitrum One - USDC, ARB

  • Avalanche - USDT, USDC, AVAX

  • Bitcoin (BTC)

  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

  • Litecoin (LTC)

  • Tron - USDT

To deposit one of the above tokens (other than USDT Polygon), open your Phenom Wallet and select "other token". Choose the Token and Network you wish to deposit then click the "Generate Deposit Address" button as shown below. The deposit address will generate and you can copy (or use QR code) to send your deposit.

Please carefully verify the Token and Network match what you are sending before sending your transaction

You may also type in the amount you wish to send to see the real-time conversion with the fees automatically subtracted.

Fees

Full disclosure! There is a small fee taken out when you send other tokens to cover the conversion and bridging costs. Below are the fees:

Ethereum (any token) and Bitcoin: 1.5% fee (2 USDT minimum fee)

All other networks and tokens: 1% fee (0.50 USDT minimum fee)

There is no fee to deposit USDT Polygon and there are no fees to withdraw your USDT Polygon

Step 5: GAMBLE
