$4k Blind raise rakes in $48k pot?!
Dear fans, friends, and poker players who don’t look at their cards preflop...
Every week we talk about one hand that made us say wow. This week we had a lot to choose from, but one hand was special.
Hand of the Week!
Today's hand involves a fresh face to Table 1. It’s special because...
We see a player put in $4k BLIND preflop
It turns into a $48k pot!
Aces get run down by a guy who doesn’t give a damn
Now that I have your attention, meet our friend Will. He strolled into the game on a Friday night and injected some much needed life into the game. He’s got a no fucks given attitude, and a permanent smile on his face.
Anyways on to the hand:
We're playing $25/$50 with $100 big blind ante. There’s a $100 straddle on this hand, and Will puts on the $200. A player in early position raises the pot up to $500. It folds around to Will. Will has not looked at his hand and has been running good so far. He makes it $1,400 blind. The player in early position wastes no time making it $4k. Will laughs and flicks in the call. “I’m still blind.”
The flop comes down Q♦️J♠️T♠️. Will checks…still blind. His opponent checks behind.
The 8♠️ falls on the turn. Will takes a little peak at his hand. He chuckles and announces “ALL IN!” The bet is $20,000 into a pot of $8k. His opponent doesn’t waste much time and calls. They run it twice.
First river: 2♦️
Second river: 3♥️
Will rolls over his hand…Q♣️8♥️ for 2 pair. His opponent’s A♠️A♦️ are no good.
The $48k pot slides to Will, who I’ll now refer to as “The End Boss." He laughs as he knows even though he didn’t look at his hand until the turn, he totally outplayed his opponent.
He disappears from the table only to return 30 minutes later with a new $15k watch. And that forever smile on his face.
He wanted to also shout out to another player he beat in a big pot. Here’s the video link to that: https://youtube.com/shorts/OhatyMwSMIA?feature=share
Nice hand End Boss. See you next trip!
See you next week for another Hand of the Week!
Cheers,
